Located at the foot of the massive extinct volcano Misti, the city of Arequipa will be the starting point of your private trip to Peru. Your guide will meet you at Arequipa airport according to your arrival time and will take you to your hotel. To better appreciate the colonial atmosphere of the ''white city'', you will be installed in a charming hotel, which is actually a colonial house of XVIII century transformed to a stylish accommodation. Later, you can explore with your guide the historical center of Arequipa, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The alleys around the historical Plaza de Armas are particularly pleasant. Today, before to take the road to the amazing Canyon del Colca, you can discover the famous mummy of Juanita in the Museo Santuarios Andinos. It’s an exceptional discovery of a mummy of 15th century, which will give you the opportunity to understand why the Incas were practicing the mummification and why the young children were often sacrificed. Later, you will leave Arequipa to reach the Canyon del Colca. Along the way you will cross the Reserva de Salinas y Aguada Blanca, an excellent possibility to admire the surroundings breathtaking landscapes and to see alpacas and vicuñas whose wool is the sweetest and most expensive in Peru. Later you will arrive to Chivay, one of the typical villages of the Canyon del Colca where you will meet the local inhabitants and will discover their lifestyle by visiting the small village market. Today your guide will take you one step closer to the famous Cusco, the one-time capital of the Incas. You will take the road to Sicuani, a stopover town between the Canyon del Colca and Cusco. Before to reach Sicuani, you will have the opportunity to discover the Cruz del Condor, the famous viewpoint from where you will enjoy the breathtaking view on the Colca canyon and observe the Andean condors hovering over the canyon. Later, crossing the Reserva de Salinas y Aguada Blanca as well as passing through the La Raya pass, you will reach Sicuani. It will be a nice ride, as you will admire not only the amazing landscapes created by volcanoes, lakes and meadows but you will also have the opportunity to spot flamingos, deer and the famous vicuñas, whose wool is the sweetest and the most expensive in Peru. Today you will reach the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The doors of the incredible world of the Incas are now open. Here you will explore the surviving remains of great Inca family estates. Why was this Valley important for the Incas and was is reserved to a special class of people? Your guide will help you to get all the answers. The ruins of the fortress of Ollantaytambo with its famous wall of 6 monoliths, as well as the ruins of the Temple of the Sun and the baths will give you already an idea about the beliefs and the cults of the Incas. From these ruins, you can also enjoy the beautiful view on the Valley. Walking through the narrow streets of Ollantaytambo, you will feel the typical charm and unique atmosphere of this city where you will surely meet Peruvians walking their lama. This morning you will leave the sacred Valley and you will take the road to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Incas. On the way, we will make a stop at Chinchero, a small charming village whose inhabitants still wear their colorful traditional clothes. The site is known for its textile manufacturing. Here, women begin to weave from 6 years old. The village is also known for its agricultural terraces dating back to the Inca era, used until today. Later, you will arrive in Cusco. This town, located at 3400m above sea level, is best known for its important archaeological remains located in the vicinity of the city. In Cusco, there are still many walls dating back to the time of the Incas, on which the Spanish buildings were built. In the evening, you will have free time to walk in the historical center of Cusco, before your guide takes you for a tour the following day. Overnight in Cusco.

Today you will discover the wildlife of the amazing Lake Sandoval by canoe. This serene lake is inhabited by thousands of species of birds, the endangered river wolf, howler monkeys, red-bellied macaws, anacondas, turtles and black alligators. After the canoe tour, you will reach your hotel for lunch and then, you will cruise for about 20 minutes by boat to reach the exciting Inkaterra Canopy Walkway, a safe and sophisticated system of suspended bridges with two panoramic observation towers.
