Day 1 : Arrival in Cusco
Welcome to the land of the Incas. Your luxury trip will begin from the capital of the Inca Empire, Cusco. Was it just a capital for the Incas or are there other reasons that make it such an important city to understand the history and traditions of the Incas? You will discover it with your private guide who will welcome you at the airport of Cusco upon your arrival and will take you to your elegant hotel, a former nun's convent built on the Inca foundations. Day 2 : Cusco sightseeing
Today you will wander in the narrow streets of Cusco and you will admire the architectural genius of the Incas. Cusco is a perfect example to appreciate the wonderful legacy that the Incas left in 15th century. You will find there many colonial buildings which were built on the Incan foundations. What makes the Inca architecture unique? You will discover it with your guide by visiting the 4 archeological sites near Cusco. Explore Tambomachay, called also ''bath of the Incas'' and learn about the cults of the Incas. Admire the military architecture of the Incas by visiting the ruins of the military fortress in Puka Pukara and the impressive citadel of Sacsayhuaman. Day 3 : Rainbow Mountain
Today you will get off the beaten tracks to discover the Vinicunca Mountain. Even if you are not interested in geology you cannot remain indifferent towards this geological wonder. Your private guide will take you to the Rainbow Mountain, discovered only in 2015, which makes it a relatively less explored destination. Once on the spot, you will admire the truly unique landscapes of this multicolored mountains whose colors are completely of native origin. On the way you can see South American camelids like llamas, guanacos and alpacas. You will be back to Cusco late in the afternoon. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 4 : Round trip by train to Machu Picchu
Your luxury trip would be certainly incomplete without visiting Machu Picchu. This amazing Incan citadel of 15th century discovered only 1 century ago is exceptional for its architectural conception. One of the first questions you will ask to your guide is how did Incas build Machu Picchu on this rocky promontory and what was its function? In the morning you will board the luxury train Hiram Bingham to get to Aguas Calientes from where you will reach Machu Picchu by bus. Day 5 : From Cusco to Sacred Valley (2h driving)
Uncover other Incan mysteries with your guide by visiting the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Why it was sacred and what is the Sacred Valley known for? You will discover it once you are there. Don't miss to visit Chinchero along the way. This small pleasant village will give you a nice opportunity to meet the local inhabitants with their colorful traditional clothes and to discover the local lifestyle. Later, you will arrive to Ollantaytambo. The Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo fortress with its famous wall of 6 monoliths is one of the highlights of the city, however exploring the narrow streets of Ollantaytambo will be an authentic discovery of the local lifestyle. You will surely meet Peruvians walking their lama, these iconic animals of Peru. Spending the night in a luxury chalet-style retreat will give you the opportunity to go back in time to feel how was the life of the aristocratic families of Cuzco that were living in the Sacred Valley. Day 6 : From Sacred Valley to Cusco and flight to Lima
Today, your private guide will take you to Cusco Airport from where you will take the flight to reach Lima. But before to leave the Incan capital, you will make a stop in Moray, famous for its circular agricultural terraces from the time of the Inca civilization. These terraces demonstrate perfectly the architectural genius of the Incas. These terraces are designed in such a way that they can stimulate up to 20 different types of microclimates with special irrigation system to provide water to plants. For more details your guide will be always at your disposal. After the discovery of Moray, you will continue your route towards the impressive salines of Maras, used since the time of the Incas until today for obtaining the salt. Then you will continue to Cusco airport for your flight to Lima. Another driver will welcome you in the capital and will take you to your hotel. Overnight in Lima.

Day 7 : Flight from Lima to Iquitos
The last amazing part of your trip will be dedicated to the Amazon Rainforest. The luxury boat will be ready today to welcome you on its board to make you discover the Peruvian amazon and its lush flora and fauna. In the morning your driver will take you to Lima Airport from where you will take the flight to Iquitos. You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to the small riverside town Nauta on the banks of the Marañon River. Here you will be introduced you to your exquisite and cozy suite, with all the necessary amenities. The ship also has a beautiful indoor dining room and a gorgeous third deck outdoor lounge with the bar. This is an ideal ship for a more exclusive experience! Then, your naturalist guide will give you an overview of your journey’s schedule, activities, route, highlights, wildlife and vegetation. Day 8 : Amazon rainforest
After enjoying the magic sunrise at Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, you will have a nice opportunity for birdwatching, several parrot species and hoatzins will be there for you. Later, you will cruise through the Yanayacu and Pucate Rivers to observe the famous pink dolphins. One of the most amazing experiences of the day will be Canopy Walkway in the Amazon national park. It’s a unique opportunity to enjoy the spectacular view of the rainforest from the treetops, the best point for observing Amazon wildlife and vegetation. Later on, you will get to the village of Yachay, a destination of the beaten tracks, where you will meet Carola. Who is she? Let's go there to see. Overnight in the boat.

Day 9 : Amazon rainforest
What will be the highlight of the day? Certainly the piranha fishing! Cruising through the creeks of Yanayaquillo will offer you this unique experience. It is also an excellent dolphin feeding spot, another exciting experience you shouldn't miss. Later, you will explore the Piranha creek either by kayak or by skiff which will give you the opportunity to visit a local community and to meet local villagers who have called Amazonia their home for generations. A night nature walk will be organized in the evening followed by a farewell dinner. Overnight in the boat.

Day 10 : Iquitos and departure
Today you will cruise back to Nauta for disembarkation. From Nauta, you will have a private transfer to Iquitos Airport. Along the way you will make a last stop at the Rescue & Rehabilitation Center of River Mammals where you will see some animals which are on the endangered species list, such as the wonderful baby manatees. Here you will see also some animals that have been rescued from capture for the intention of being turned into pets. Later you will arrive to Iquitos Airport and you will leave the Amazon to reach Lima, from where you will take your homebound flight.
