Your luxury trip through the majestic landscapes of Peru will start by your arrival to Lima. Your private guide will meet you upon your arrival at Lima airport and take you to your oceanside hotel. After your check-in, we will give you additional information about the rest of your tour and answer any questions you may have. Later, you can just relax in the famous Kennedy Park located in the heart of the Miraflores district, which is at the same time a meeting point for locals and travelers. In the evening, your guide will take you to Parque de la Reserva (closed on Mondays), where you will be able to admire "the magic water circuit". This complex of fountains is especially beautiful in the evening (after 19h), when the fountains are illuminated and the spectacle of water begins accompanied by music and laser projections. Today, your private guide-driver will meet you at your hotel and take you to Paracas, a port city famous for its National Reserve with its incredible natural beauty. The Paracas National Reserve is an important natural sanctuary founded in 1975 to protect the local fauna and flora. More than 74 species of plants growing in this extremely arid region as well as 216 bird species, 16 types of mammals, reptiles and 193 species of fish. It is considered as one of the richest ecosystems in the world (duration of visit around 3 hours). During the visit you will also discover the famous Playa Roja (Red Beach) where the desert meets the see offering stunning views. Overnight in Paracas.

Another natural beauty of Paracas are the Islas Ballestas. This morning, after breakfast at your hotel, you will leave for a boat trip (approximate duration: 2 hours) to this amazing islands. The Ballestas Islands are a group of rocky islands famous for their abundant wildlife. This tour is particularly appealing for its wildlife, as the islands are home to thousands of birds and mammals including penguins, sea lions and pelicans. The islands are protected, which means you will not be able to swim with the animals or walk on the islands themselves, but you will get very close to them by boat. On the way, the boat will stop to allow you to admire the famous "candelabra of Paracas": it is a huge glyph mysteriously engraved in the cliff many centuries ago. Later, you will continue your journey to Nazca, to discover the famous group of giant geoglyphs (also known as "Nazca lines") created by the Nazca, pre-Inca civilization developed from the 2nd century BC to the 7th century AD. Your guide-driver will take you to Nazca Airfield from where you will fly over the mysterious Nazca Lines. The duration of the flight is 30 minutes, which will allow you to observe the main lines. These geoglyphs, (geometric patterns and animal shapes), are fully visible only from the sky and are among archaeology's greatest enigmas. Later you will return to Paracas. Overnight in Paracas.

This morning, your guide-driver will take you back to the capital. Along the way, you will make a short stop in Pisco, known especially for its national alcoholic drink with the same name. Then you will discover the archaeological site of Pachacamac dating back to Moche and Huari civilizations, located not far from Lima. It's nice opportunity for you to learn about the mythology, beliefs and practices of these pre-Inca civilizations. Pachacamac is a large complex of temples and pyramids, which was at that time an important place of pilgrimage destroyed in the 16th century by the conquistadors. Then, depending on the time of your arrival in Lima, you will be able to make some additional visits in the capital according to your points of interest. Today, you will take the flight with your guide from Lima airport to reach Arequipa, a beautiful colonial city surrounded by volcanoes and deep canyons. Once in Arequipa, your guide will take you to your hotel. In the evening, you will have free time to walk in the historic center of Arequipa and explore the streets and alleys around Plaza de Armas which are particularly pleasant. The historical center of Arequipa is inscribed on the UNESCO heritage list. Here you will be able to admire the pretty cityscapes. You will spend the overnight in a charming colonial house of XVIII century, an excellent opportunity to travel back in time to colonial era. Overnight in Arequipa.

Before to continue your journey to Puno to admire the unique landscapes offered by the mysterious Lake Titicaca, you will have time to make some visits with your guide in Arequipa. You can explore the convent of Santa Catalina, a real city in a city where you will travel back in time to 16th century as this unique monument has been remained intact from 16th century. Discover the local life, the only thing changed since that time. Later you can discover also the mummy of Juanita in the Museo Santuarios Andions, another good opportunity to learn about the mummification practices during the Inca period. In the evening, you will board the luxury Andean Explorer train to reach Puno, which is mostly famous for its geographical position on mystical Lake Titicaca. Today you will discover the archaeological sites near Cusco. For those who are mostly interested by the cults and traditions of the Incas, Tambomachay will be the right place. The site is devoted to the water cult. It consists of a series of aqueducts, canals and various cascades of water that flow along the rocks. From the main waterfall, the Incas made two cascades of exactly the same size: if we put two identical bottles, they would be filled simultaneously. Here, at the time of the Incas, there were royal gardens which were irrigated with a complex system of channels specially created for this purpose. Those who are interested by military architecture of the Incas should visit Puka Pukara, with the ruins of a military fortress from the Inca period. The archeological site of Qenko is another ritual center of the Inca period where you will have the opportunity to learn about different practices of the Incas, such as the mummification and the sacrifices. Today it is still difficult to say what its purpose was, but it was one of the most important sanctuaries of the Incas. The last step will be the Sacsayhuaman, the impressive citadel of Sacsayhuaman with its huge blocks of stone ideally superimposed into the natural landscape. Although it is located at an altitude of 2,800 meters on average, the climate is particularly mild throughout the year. This is where the best corn is produced, sacred food of the Incas. The Sacred Valley of the Incas is well known for its impressive Inca ruins, amazing landscapes, charming small villages and vast agricultural terraces. Once in Ollantaytambo and after lunch explore the ruins of Ollantaytambo fortress with its famous wall of 6 monoliths, the Temple of the Sun and the baths, gazing out at the spectacular view on the Valley.
